Barbara McCorkindale Original Watercolor Winter Lane Birch Red Cabin Gold Frame

Original signed watercolor by Doylestown, Pennsylvania artist Barbara J. McCorkindale. A snowy country lane winds past a white birch, bare trees and a dark spruce toward a small red cabin, with a lone figure walking the road and blue hills beyond. Loose, confident brushwork with nice warm and cool contrast. Signed McCorkindale at lower right. Presented in a quality gold leaf finish wood frame with a beaded inner edge and a cream double mat with fine gold fillet lines. Overall framed size is roughly 8 by 10 inches with an image area of about 4 by 6 inches. Paper and mat are clean with no foxing or water damage visible; the frame has only light scuffs and no missing gilding. A handsome small piece for a study, hallway or cabin.
