Bob Richey Original Pastel Winter Landscape Winding Brook Bucks County 1994
Original pastel by Bucks County, Pennsylvania artist Bob Richey (American, b. 1949), titled "Winter Landscape with Winding Brook" and dated October 1994 on the Bianco Gallery labels on the back. A snow covered valley with a blue brook winding past fence posts and bare trees, a corn shock at the left, a stone farmhouse and evergreens in the middle distance and wooded hills beyond, with long blue shadows across the snow. Signed Richey in blue at the lower right. Richey, a former aerospace engineer who turned full time painter in 1996, is listed in the Michener Art Museum Bucks County Artists Database, won awards at the Bianco Gallery Annuals in 1994 and 1996, and has placed over 5,000 pastels in private collections. Image 6 by 7.5 inches per the gallery label. Ornate gold leaf finish carved wood frame under glass. Overall frame approximately 13 by 15 inches (measured from photos, please allow small variance). Bianco Gallery, Buckingham PA labels on the back, gallery number 400995, inventory 137. Condition: the pastel is clean with no visible damage through the glass. The gold frame shows heavy crackling and scattered paint loss across most surfaces, an aged look that some buyers like; a new frame would be an easy upgrade. Hanging wire intact.
