Sandy Askey-Adams Original Watercolor Winter Cardinal Stone Farmhouse Framed
Original watercolor by award winning Bucks County, Pennsylvania artist Sandy Askey-Adams, signed at the lower right. A panoramic winter scene: the corner of an old fieldstone farmhouse with a wooden sled and a bucket leaning by the wall, snow covered fields and a fence line running to distant hills, bare trees at the right, and a single red cardinal perched on a snowy branch in the foreground. Painted on heavily textured cold press paper with the artist's characteristic spatter and dry brush. Askey-Adams is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America and a nationally and regionally awarded painter of the Bucks County countryside. Double matted in cream and tan, in a mahogany finish wood frame with carved rope molding, under glass, wired to hang. Michaels Custom Framing label on the back. Overall frame approximately 18 by 14 inches; image approximately 10 by 6 inches (measured from photos, please allow small variance). Condition: good. A few faint spots on the paper surface near the cardinal and at the lower right that may be light foxing or water spotting; they blend with the painted texture and are not obvious at normal viewing distance. Frame and mats are clean with no chips.
