B. McGettigan Original Watercolor Beach Dunes Sand Fence Umbrella Jersey Shore 2000 Framed
Original watercolor signed B. McGettigan with a copyright mark and dated 00 in the lower right. A grassy dune landscape with weathered sand fencing in the foreground and along the ridge, a glimpse of the ocean under a gray-blue sky and a striped beach umbrella peeking over the dune at left. Loose, textured brushwork with spatter in the dune grass; soft palette of sage green, tan, blue-gray and cream that suits a shore house. Matted in cream and set in an ornate gold-tone frame with gesso-style relief overlay on wood, under glass. Overall framed size approximately 20 by 17 inches; image approximately 12 by 9 inches. Please confirm with a tape measure if size is critical. Condition is good. Painting and mat appear clean with no visible foxing or fading. Frame shows minor wear at the edges.
