B. McGettigan Original Watercolor Stone Arch Bridge Winter Creek 1999 Ornate Frame 18x22

Original watercolor signed B. McGettigan with a copyright mark and dated 99 in the lower right. A stone arch bridge spans a winter creek, with a big snow-dusted tree trunk in the foreground, dry grasses poking through the snow and warm brush glowing through the arch. Muted, naturalistic palette of blues and grays for snow and stonework with warm browns in the tree and grasses; skilled handling of the stone and snow textures. Matted in cream and set in an ornate cast composition frame with scrolling foliate relief in a warm bronze-gray finish, under glass. Overall framed size approximately 18 by 22 inches; image approximately 11 by 14 inches. Please confirm with a tape measure if size is critical. Condition: painting and mat appear clean and undamaged from the front. The backing board has a diagonal crack and the hanging wire is slack; both are back-of-frame issues only and easily addressed.
