Antique D.M. Co. Philadelphia Cast Iron Asparagus Bunching Tool

Rare antique asparagus bunching tool manufactured by D.M. Co. (likely Diamond Match Co. or similar Philadelphia-area manufacturer) out of Philadelphia, PA. The tool features cast iron construction with two embossed bands reading 'D.M. Co.' and 'PHILA.' mounted on a flat wooden base platform. The mechanism uses a lever/handle to cinch a metal band around asparagus stalks to bundle them for market. The wooden base appears to be a two-piece flat platform approximately 8-9 inches square. This is a scarce piece of American agricultural/commercial history from the late 19th or early 20th century.
