Antique Porcelain Pin Type Line Insulator Oxblood Brown Amber Streaked Glaze

Antique glazed porcelain line insulator with a deep oxblood to chocolate brown glaze streaked with amber, glossy and very dark, over a rounded dome skirt with a double groove wire crown at the top. It fills the hand, roughly 3 to 3.5 inches tall and about 3 inches across the base. No maker marking is visible on the surfaces photographed. Condition: surface dirt and light glaze crazing consistent with age, a small chip with a rough edge on the upper crown where the white porcelain body shows through, and no cracks found through the body. The glaze color is unusually rich for a line insulator, and the piece is currently being checked by us against collector references before it is priced; further photos and measurements will follow.
