Vintage Button Lot Hundreds Mixed Antique Buttons in Chocolate Candy Tin

A full round candy tin packed with hundreds of vintage and antique sewing buttons, plus a few period notions cards. The tin is an Old Colonial Home Chocolates 'Seasons Greetings' tin with a poinsettia lithograph lid, marked 2.5 pounds net weight, roughly 7 to 8 inches across and about 3 inches deep. The button mix spans mother of pearl, celluloid and early plastics, metal, wood-look, and fabric covered examples, from small shirt buttons up to coat buttons about 1.5 inches across. Colors run black, white, ivory, yellow, red, blue, gray and brown. A handful of original notions cards come with it, including a La Vogue pin card with pins still attached and Trimtex cord elastic cards. Condition is honest vintage. The tin has surface rust on the interior rim, scratches and fading across the lid lithograph with a few dark spots, and general wear on the red exterior. Buttons range from excellent to worn.
