Eddie Fisher 1953 Steel Pier Atlantic City Original Snapshot Photos Set of 2
Two original black and white photographs of Eddie Fisher performing at the Steel Pier in Atlantic City. Both reverses are inscribed in period ink, Steel Pier, Sept. 5, 6, 1953, Eddie Fisher, and both carry the photo lab frame number 248. These are amateur audience snapshots rather than studio or press prints: one shows Fisher at the standing microphone with arms open, the other shows him at the mic with the pianist and drum kit behind him. Each print measures about 3.5 by 5 inches and both are housed together in a plastic sleeve. Condition is fair to good for seventy year old prints. The first has surface scuffing and darkening at the upper left. The second has a curved crease visible on the back and light staining at the lower right of the reverse. Both image faces are clear and undamaged. Fisher was at the peak of his career in 1953, and Steel Pier memorabilia has its own following among Atlantic City collectors.
