Cast Iron Old Ironsides USS Constitution Ship Bookend Doorstop Single Heavy Rust

Cast iron ship figure mounted on a rectangular base, with OLD IRONSIDES cast in raised letters across the front of the base. The hull, gun ports and rigging are cast as an openwork silhouette, so light passes through the ship. This is a single piece, not a matched pair. Heavy rust and pitting over the whole casting, with surface crust and a rough uneven top edge along the deck. The lettering on the base is still readable. It stands on its own. Sold as found, unrestored, with all the age it shows in the photos. Suits nautical or industrial decor, or a wire brush and oil if you want to bring the iron back.
