Antique Aqua Glass Soda Bottle Embossed C.D. Co. Connersville Indiana Crown Top

Early aqua-tinted soda bottle embossed on the body with a bottler's initials, reading as C. D. Co., over CONNERSVILLE and IND. The base carries a second line of partially legible embossing. Crown top with a double ring collar, gently sloped shoulders, about 7.5 inches tall. The aqua-green cast in the glass is natural iron coloring from the period batch, not a coating. No chips or cracks found. Uncleaned, exactly as it came out of storage: dark sediment inside the neck and down the interior walls, surface grime and haze outside. The embossing itself is crisp and reads clearly. Small-town bottling-works bottles like this one are collected by town, so the Connersville name is the point of interest.
