R. Louisa Wismer Original Watercolor Red Barn Farm Bucks County PA 1998 Framed
Original watercolor by Bucks County, Pennsylvania artist and longtime watercolor teacher R. Louisa Wismer of Perkasie, signed and dated 1998 at the lower right. A red barn with a gray metal roof and a small yellow outbuilding sit at the bend of a dirt farm lane, with a wire fence, yellow wildflowers, birch trees at the right and a big shade tree at the left under a soft blue sky. Fresh, clean color and confident pen and wash drawing. Wismer exhibited at the Chapman Gallery in Doylestown and taught generations of local painters. Double matted in cream with a teal green inner mat, in a gold finish wood frame under glass. Overall frame approximately 16 by 13 inches; image approximately 10 by 8 inches (measured from photos, please allow small variance). Condition: good. No foxing, tears or fading seen in the artwork or mats. Light wear to the gold finish at the frame corners.
