Tyco Taiyo Turbo Hopper RC Buggy 49MHz Vintage 1980s Dune Buggy No Remote

Taiyo Turbo Hopper radio controlled dune buggy, the 1980s toy shelf icon that Tyco sold in the United States as the 9.6V Turbo Hopper. Made in Singapore by Taiyo Toy (S) Pte Ltd, FCC ID CP57386012R, 49 MHz. Roughly 12 inches long. Black plastic body with the red and white racing livery: TURBO HOPPER across the rear wing, 049 HYPER CAM number panels on the nose and side, ACCEL and Says Engineering Tune Motor and KYC Shock Absorber decals, gray roll cage, and a spare tire mounted on the rear wing. Four wheel independent coil spring suspension with exposed shocks, knobby off road tires on white plastic wheels, front and rear tube bumpers, antenna present. What is NOT included: no transmitter, no battery pack, no charger, no box. A buyer will need to source a matching 49 MHz controller to run it. It has not been tested and is sold as is. Condition: good honest played with condition for a car of this age. The factory decals are largely intact with some lifting and wear at the edges. A previous owner added stickers of their own, including a small smiley face near the front and a handwritten name sticker at the lower front, and those are visible in the photos. The chassis underside is clean and the original yellow warning label is still readable. Body, wing, roll cage and all four wheels are present with no cracks noted.
