Tonka MR-970 Mobile Crane Truck Vintage Pressed Steel Yellow Black 1960s 1970s

$74.99
Toys

Tonka mobile crane truck in yellow and black pressed steel. The tire sidewalls are marked 'Tonka MR-970,' which helps date this to the late 1960s or early 1970s. The crane boom is black perforated steel, extends at an angle, and is strung with original-style cord and pulley wheels. A yellow bucket and a separate silver metal clamshell-style lift attachment hang from the boom. The cab has clear plastic windows and a molded steering wheel inside. The crane housing rotates on the chassis. Two black hand-crank wheels sit on the crane body for boom and line operation. The Tonka logo appears in red lettering on the cab door. All four tires are present and intact with yellow hubs. Paint is generally strong with some chips and scratches on the cab roof and crane housing edges. The cord lines show some fraying. No missing structural parts visible.
