Good Luck Jar Rubbers Box Boston Woven Hose Rubber Co 1920s Canning Advertising

Antique cardboard box of Good Luck Rubbers jar sealing rings, made by Boston Woven Hose and Rubber Co., 178 Portland Street, Cambridge, Mass. The box carries a Good Housekeeping Institute approval seal with Serial No. 1328 printed on the bottom panel. Red and green lithographed box with gold lettering on the side panel. The back panel has the original advertising copy explaining the single-lip design over earlier circular ring styles. Box appears to contain the original rubber rings inside. Dating to the 1920s based on the Good Housekeeping seal style and advertising copy format. Box measures approximately 3.5 inches long by 1.5 inches wide by 1 inch tall. Corners show wear and splitting at one top corner, general age toning to the cardboard. Labels are intact and legible on all sides.
