Vintage Gillette Office Knife Blade Box King C. Gillette Portrait 1910s 1920s Boston USA

Early Gillette Office Knife Blade box from the Gillette Safety Razor Company, Boston, made about 1913 to 1930. Green and cream lithographed cardboard sleeve with the King C. Gillette portrait and signature trademark on the front and Made in U.S.A. below. The back panel notes the original price of 50 cents per packet of five blades. About 3 inches long by 3/4 inch square. The box is opened at one end and appears to still hold at least one blade; handle with care as blades may be sharp. Cardboard shows age yellowing, soiling, fraying at the opened end and a small bent wire at one edge, but the printing is clear and legible on all sides and the box is not crushed. A nice small piece of early Gillette advertising for razor and blade collectors.
