Antique Brass Pedestal Oil Lamp Base Flat Wick Burner Pierced Clover Foot No Chimney
Antique brass kerosene oil lamp base, probably late 19th to early 20th century, standing roughly 10 to 11 inches tall. Round domed font on a tall pedestal foot with decorative pierced clover cutouts around the lower rim. The burner is complete with a flat wick, a long side wick adjustment rod with a small brass knob, and a pierced flame spreader crown. No chimney or shade. Exterior brass carries an even old tarnish with green verdigris in the recesses of the burner collar and scattered dark spots on the font and foot. Several tabs on the burner crown are bent, the burner cap looks like a later gold painted replacement, and the wick is old and brittle. The underside is open with rust on the iron weight ring and old fuel residue. No maker mark found. Sold as a display or restoration piece; not tested for use.
