Chinese Cloisonne-Style Porcelain Vase Table Lamp, Floral Motif
A striking table lamp built on a hand-painted porcelain vase base in the Chinese export style. The globular body features richly detailed floral decoration, large peony blossoms in pink, white, and lavender set against a deep black ground filled with gold scrollwork. A broad burgundy-rose band with crackle-glaze detailing encircles the lower belly, separated by gilt trim lines. The lower register displays additional black-ground panels with ornamental motifs. The base sits on a dark hardwood footed stand with carved cutouts. The hardware is brass-toned, and the lamp retains its original pleated off-white fabric shade. The lamp functions and illuminates well. Approximate overall height with shade is 22 to 24 inches; the porcelain body alone is roughly 8 to 10 inches tall. Condition notes: the burgundy band shows a network of fine surface crazing and some light scratching consistent with age and use. The shade has minor discoloration and light soiling around the top rim. The gilt detailing on the vase body is largely intact with minor wear. A visually impressive piece with strong decorative appeal for chinoiserie or eclectic interiors.
