Kent-Coffey Evanshire Nightstand No. 2901, Mid-Century Mahogany

Classic mid-century nightstand from Kent-Coffey's Evanshire collection, built in rich mahogany-finished wood with a traditional Chippendale-inspired style. The piece features a scalloped gallery rail along the top back edge, bracket feet, and clean molding details that reflect quality American furniture craftsmanship of the era. The back panel is stenciled with the model identifier '2901 NT. STAND' and a manufacture date code reading 'MAKY DEC 50' (likely December 1950), placing this piece firmly in the early postwar period. The interior drawer label confirms the Kent-Coffey brand and Evanshire line. The piece has a warm dark mahogany finish and solid, sturdy construction throughout. Condition notes: two feet show chipping and veneer loss at the corners, one more significantly than the other. The back panel has scattered scratches, scuffs, and a water stain. The gallery top shows minor wear. These flaws are consistent with age and honest use over 70-plus years. Overall structurally sound and a handsome piece of documented American mid-century furniture.
