Antique Green Glass Wine Bottle Applied Lip Pontil Mark 19th C
A handsome antique green glass wine bottle displaying classic characteristics of 19th-century hand-production. The deep olive-green glass has a slightly irregular, free-blown form with a gently sloping shoulder and long tapered neck. The lip features a neatly applied double collar finish, typical of bottles made before widespread machine production. The base shows a distinct pontil scar ring, confirming hand-finishing at the glasshouse. Visible bubbles and slight surface striations throughout the glass are hallmarks of period manufacture, not damage. No embossing or mold seams are evident, suggesting a free-blown or dip-mold origin. The bottle stands approximately 11-12 inches tall with a base diameter of roughly 3 inches. Empty and unlabeled. Overall condition is very good for its age, with light interior residue and minor surface grime consistent with age. No chips or cracks detected. A great display piece, decorator bottle, or addition to an antique glass collection.
