Antique Aqua Blue Glass Flask Bottle - Hand Blown, Applied Lip
A beautiful antique hand-blown glass flask in a soft aqua blue color, consistent with 19th-century American bottle production. The bottle features a flat, oval cross-section typical of period flasks, a hand-applied rolled lip finish visible in the close-up photo, and a pontil scar on the base indicating it was finished by hand on a glassblowing rod. The glass has natural bubbles and imperfections throughout, evidence of early manufacture. The color is a lovely pale aqua, common in bottles made before the widespread use of manganese as a decolorizer. Interior has some mineral deposits and a small piece of debris or old cork remnant sitting inside near the base. Exterior shows light scratching, haze, and soil patina consistent with age and possible ground digging. No chips or cracks observed in the photos. Approximate height is 7 to 8 inches based on hand scale reference; body is roughly 4 inches wide and 2 inches deep. A wonderful display piece for bottle collectors or those decorating with vintage and farmhouse aesthetics.
