Antique Aqua Glass Bottle Hand-Tooled Lip Bubbles circa 1880-1910

$18.00
Collectibles

A beautiful antique glass bottle featuring the hallmarks of late 19th to early 20th century hand production. The bottle stands approximately 12 inches tall with a slender wine or sauce bottle profile. The glass displays a soft aqua-green tint caused by natural iron impurities in the sand used during that era, a classic indicator of age. Numerous air bubbles and inclusions are visible throughout the glass body, consistent with pre-machine-made production methods. The lip is hand-tooled and shows an applied, irregular finish with visible tool marks and a slightly uneven rim, further confirming pre-1920 manufacture. The base shows a rough pontil or open pontil scar with embedded dirt and mineral deposits suggesting genuine age and excavation or long storage. Condition is as-found: heavy interior residue, dirt, and mineral haze throughout. Chips and stress cracks are visible at the lip. No mold seams run to the top of the lip, consistent with hand-finishing. A wonderful display piece or addition to an antique bottle collection.
