Amber Glass Decanter Bottle with Embossed Medieval Knight Motif and Cork Stopper
A striking amber glass bottle with an all-over embossed relief exterior depicting medieval and Renaissance-style scenes. One face features a mounted knight or jousting figure set within a diamond cartouche, while the opposite face shows a bearded portrait medallion, likely a nobleman or historical figure. Ornate scrolling acanthus leaf borders and decorative banding frame each panel, and the shoulder of the bottle is richly textured with additional foliate relief work. The neck and lip are smooth amber glass, giving a warm honey-brown tone that contrasts beautifully with the cream-toned raised relief areas. The stopper is a shaped cork-and-wood cap with matching embossed scrollwork on its collar, fitting snugly into the bottle mouth. The bottle stands approximately 9 to 10 inches tall when closed and has a rectangular cross-section roughly 3 inches wide. The interior appears empty and dry. Condition is good overall with minor surface scuffs and light patina to the relief areas consistent with age and handling. A decorative piece well-suited for a bar cart, curio cabinet, or medieval-themed display.
