Antique J.G.B. Siegert & Hijos Angostura Bitters Embossed Green Glass Bottle
A beautiful antique embossed green glass bottle from J.G.B. Siegert and Hijos, the original makers of Angostura Bitters. The bottle features raised embossed lettering around the shoulder and base reading 'Siegert' and 'Hijos' (Spanish for 'sons'), consistent with production from the late 1800s to early 1900s when the company operated out of Trinidad. The glass is a rich olive green with a distinctive bulbous body tapering to a long slender neck. The base features a deep pontil kick-up with embossed text around the rim. The glass shows the characteristic imperfections of mouth-blown or early machine-made production, including slight bubbles and surface irregularities, adding to its authenticity and charm. No chips or cracks visible in the photos. This is an empty bottle, valued as a collectible antique piece. A great find for bitters collectors, apothecary decor enthusiasts, or bar antique displays.
