Antique Aqua Glass Bottle Childs & Sons Cambridge Lemonade Embossed
A charming antique embossed glass bottle in a soft aqua-green hue, rectangular in form with attractive chamfered corners and a wide rolled lip finish. The embossed text reads 'CHILDS & SONS' on one face and 'THE CAMBRIDGE LEMONADE' on another, indicating this was a proprietary mineral or aerated lemonade bottle from a Cambridge-based bottler. The base is embossed with the number '521', likely a mold number. The glass shows characteristic period bubbles, slight waviness, and surface irregularities consistent with late 19th to early 20th century production. Light internal residue and earthen deposits are visible, typical of a dug or long-stored example. No cracks or chips are noted in the photos, though the lip has minor surface roughness. Approximate height is around 4 to 5 inches. A lovely piece for antique bottle collectors or anyone interested in Victorian-era British ephemera.
