Quaker State Motor Oil 5-Gallon Metal Can 1950s-1960s Vintage Collectible Green
A classic piece of American automotive history, this vintage Quaker State Motor Oil metal can holds 5 U.S. fluid gallons (18.92 liters) and features the iconic green and white color scheme with the well-known Quaker State Q logo. The back panel reads Quaker State Oil Refining Corporation, Oil City, Pennsylvania, Made in U.S.A. with bilingual content labeling suggesting distribution in Spanish-speaking markets as well. The can has a double-cap top with two threaded openings and an original wire bail handle with a wooden grip. This style of large-format motor oil drum can was common from the 1950s through 1960s and makes a great display piece for a garage, man cave, or gas-station-themed decor. Condition shows honest age throughout: significant surface rust on the top lid and handle, moderate rust spotting and paint loss on the lower body, and fading to the label graphics. The main logo graphics remain highly legible and the overall form is intact with no major dents or crushing. The can appears empty. Approximate dimensions are roughly 13 inches tall to the top of the lid, not including the handle, and approximately 11 inches in diameter.
