Antique Hand Painted Nippon Porcelain Sugar Bowl with Lid, Floral

Charming antique porcelain sugar bowl marked 'Hand Painted Nippon' with the M-in-wreath (Morimura) backstamp, dating this piece to approximately 1891-1921. The globular white body features soft pink wild roses with green foliage, accented by raised green beaded dot garlands and gold trim along the rim, handles, foot, and lid edge. The fitted lid has a gold-accented daisy finial and matching floral decoration. Two graceful loop handles flank the body. The interior is clean white porcelain. Approximate dimensions: roughly 4 inches tall with lid, approximately 5 inches wide handle to handle. Condition shows light wear to the gold trim in places and some minor roughness to the unglazed foot ring visible in photos, consistent with age. No chips or cracks observed on the body or lid. A lovely example of the hand-painted Nippon export ware that is actively collected today.
