Antique Limoges Porcelain Saucers Set of 3 - L. Bernardaud

$50.00
Vintage

A lovely set of three antique French Limoges porcelain saucers, manufactured by L. Bernardaud and Cie and retailed through L.B. King and Co. of Detroit, Michigan. The combination of the Bernardaud backstamp and the L.B. King retailer mark dates these pieces to the late 19th or early 20th century, making them a genuine piece of American and French commercial history. Each saucer features a graceful wreath of pink roses and blue forget-me-nots encircling the well, bordered by a gold Greek key band along the outer rim. The porcelain is bright white with a fine, glassy glaze typical of quality Limoges production. Approximately 5.5 to 6 inches in diameter based on proportions visible in photos. Condition is good for their age. Light surface scratching and minor scuffs are visible on the fronts consistent with normal use and age. One saucer shows a small spot on the underside foot ring. No chips or cracks observed. Gold trim retains good presence with minor wear. The three pieces are consistent and make an attractive display or usable set. A charming find for collectors of French porcelain, Limoges ware, or early 20th-century American department store china.
