A charming pair of porcelain dessert or salad plates made by Schwarzenhammer in Bavaria, Germany, marked 'US Zone' on the backstamp, dating them to the post-World War II occupation period of approximately 1945 to 1949. Each plate features an elegant reticulated (pierced lattice) border with gold trim and delicate gold scrollwork accents. The two plates display different hand-painted style fruit motifs: one shows a ripe pear with green leaves, and the other features a cluster of purple grapes with foliage. The white porcelain body is bright and clean. The shaped octagonal-style rim adds a refined, formal character well suited for display or light decorative use. Only one plate bears the Schwarzenhammer backstamp with the number '3'; the second plate's backstamp is not visible in photos, though both plates appear identical in form and decoration style.
