Antique Miniature Porcelain Teapot Blue Green Painted Lid, Footed
A charming miniature porcelain teapot with a squat, rounded body resting on four small bun feet. The piece stands roughly 2 to 2.5 inches tall and measures approximately 3.5 to 4 inches from handle to spout tip. The body is glazed in a clean white with a celadon-tinted interior. The separate lid features hand-painted blue and green overglaze decoration in a repeating border pattern with what appears to be a stylized floral or leaf motif at the center. Both the spout and the loop handle retain traces of blue painted accent. The base shows an unglazed or lightly glazed foot ring consistent with older hand-finished porcelain production. Four small applied bun feet raise the body slightly. Condition is heavily worn: the lid decoration has significant paint loss with large sections of blue and green enamel flaked away, the body shows minor dirt accumulation, and one foot has a small chip or crack visible. The spout tip has minor roughness. No legible maker's marks are visible in the photos. A lovely display piece for a curiosity cabinet, doll collection, or antique teapot collection.
