Lionel Vintage O-Gauge Train Control Box Bakelite Mid-Century As-Is Parts

$17.99
FairCollectibles

Vintage Lionel model train control box, believed to be from the mid-20th century. The black Bakelite-style box features two green indicator lights and what appear to be two push-button controls, with handwritten paper labels reading 'Start,' 'Forward,' and 'End' (or similar). A lengthy multi-conductor wire harness extends from the unit, running several feet with multiple leads and connectors along its length. This type of controller was used to operate Lionel O-gauge or similar scale train layouts, controlling start and direction functions from a fixed panel. Condition is fair. The box shows significant age-related wear including scratches, grime, and oxidation on the casing. The wire harness has visible cracking and brittleness to the insulation at multiple points, and bare wire is exposed at the far end of the harness. The handwritten paper labels are worn but partially legible. The lights appear intact. Functionality has not been tested and is sold as-is. Estimated box dimensions approximately 3 x 2 x 1.5 inches; wire harness extends approximately 4 to 5 feet. A solid display piece or parts item for a Lionel layout restoration project.
