Lionel O11 Automatically Controlled Illuminated Switch O Gauge Turnout

Vintage Lionel O11 Automatically Controlled Illuminated Switch for O gauge model train layouts. The underside label clearly reads 'Automatically Controlled Illuminated Switch O11, The Lionel Corporation N.Y.,' confirming the model. This is a remote-controlled electric turnout that includes the original separate controller and lantern housing unit. The switch features the classic Lionel die-cast metal base with metal rails and movable switch points. Overall dimensions are approximately 11 inches wide by 9 inches tall. This is a left-hand switch based on the curve direction. The separate lamp and controller housing displays characteristic Art Deco styling with terminal posts at the base. Condition: Honest vintage wear consistent with age and use. Visible surface rust on the metal rails and switch mechanism hardware. The black die-cast base shows grime and some paint wear. The controller housing retains good gloss on the black Bakelite body. Functionality is untested and the item is sold as-is. Expect to clean and potentially service the switching mechanism before use. A classic piece of postwar Lionel that displays well and is highly sought by O gauge collectors.
