Pair Antique Dietz Railroad Kerosene Lanterns Wire Cage Globe

A matched pair of antique Dietz railroad-style kerosene lanterns, sold together as a set. Both feature the classic tall wire cage guard construction with a clear glass globe, a wide flat brim top, and a looping wire bail handle. The tops are embossed with the Dietz name, confirmed in the close-up photo. Original paint remains in a muted sage green on the top sections, now heavily aged with rust and patina throughout the metal cage, base, and hardware. The glass globes appear intact and largely clear, with some interior fogging and soot residue consistent with use. One globe shows embossed text with partial lettering, possibly a railroad or manufacturer marking. The fuel fount bases are heavily rusted. Each lantern stands approximately 10 to 12 inches tall to the top of the brim, with handles adding several more inches of height. These are honest, well-used antique pieces with strong display character and collector appeal. Sold as decorative or collectible items only - not tested for functional use.
