Remarkable heirloom collection of 19th century hand tools from a family tool chest, including one piece stamped 'J. DENISON' - likely a maker's or owner's mark. The lot includes: a cast iron hand drill/brace with red-painted wooden handle and spoked wheel gear mechanism (possibly an early Archimedean or push drill variant); a large wooden screw-arm plow plane with turned wooden nuts and two threaded arms; multiple antique wooden hand planes of varying sizes (bench planes, shoulder planes, or specialty molding planes); and what appears to be a marking gauge or mortise gauge with an adjustable fence. The wooden tools show patina consistent with age and heavy use - surfaces are darkened, edges worn, but structurally sound. The cast iron drill shows dust and light surface oxidation with original red paint surviving on the handle.
