The body showcases highly detailed relief work depicting Heidelberg Castle architecture along the upper portion, with oak leaves, grape clusters, and figural decorations wrapping around the sides. The back side features a robed figure (possibly a scholar or monk) amid oak leaf motifs. The decorated stoneware body has a natural salt-glazed tan base with vivid hand-applied polychrome enamels including cobalt blue, orange-red, and gold.
