Antique Aqua Glass Embossed Medicine Bottle Clark's New York c.1880-1910

$13.00
Collectibles

A beautiful hand-finished antique medicine or patent remedy bottle in a soft aqua blue glass. The bottle features embossed lettering reading 'CLARK' and 'NEW YORK' along with what appears to be additional text referencing an address or product name. The rectangular form has gently rounded corners, a tooled or applied double-ring collar finish at the lip, and a recessed base with a mold number. Bubbles, flow lines, and slight asymmetry throughout the glass confirm period hand-finished or early machine production. The aqua color results from natural iron content in the sand used to produce the glass, typical of late 19th to early 20th century American bottle-making. Approximately 5 to 6 inches tall based on proportions. No stopper or contents present. A great display piece for collectors of antique pharmacy, apothecary, or New York advertising bottles.
