Antique Hand Painted Nippon Porcelain Plate Pink Floral c.1891-1921
A beautiful antique porcelain plate bearing the classic green 'Hand Painted Nippon' wreath mark, dating this piece to the Nippon export era of approximately 1891 to 1921. The front features a cheerful hand-painted design of pink wild roses or apple blossoms with green foliage, accented by a decorative green scrollwork and dot border around the rim. The white porcelain ground shows off the painterly, slightly loose brushwork that is characteristic of hand-decorated Nippon pieces from this period. The plate appears to measure approximately 9 to 10 inches in diameter based on proportions visible in the photos. Condition shows light wear consistent with age, including minor crazing or surface marks near the foot ring visible on the back, and slight fading or wear to the enamel decoration. No chips or cracks are apparent from the photos. A lovely display piece for cottage, farmhouse, or vintage-style interiors, or a solid addition to a Nippon collector's set.
